Through dialogue, relationship-building, and knowledge sharing, the gathering will explore Indigenous-led approaches to climate adaptation grounded in governance, culture, and local priorities while helping to set the tone for the broader conversations at Adaptation Canada 2026.

The gathering will take place on September 21, 2026, before full conference programming gets underway. It is a half-day event that will include light refreshments and opportunities to connect with other attendees, in addition to scheduled programming.
