Venue, Location, and Travel
Where is Adaptation Canada 2026 being held?
Adaptation Canada 2026 will take place at the Westin Harbour Castle in downtown Toronto, ON. The address for the venue is 1 Harbour Square, Toronto, ON, M5J 1A6.
In addition to on-site conference activities, a set of dynamic sessions-on-the-move, side events, and functions will take place across Toronto and the surrounding area to highlight urban and community-led adaptation initiatives.
Are discounted hotel rates available?
Yes! Special room rates at the Westin Harbour Castle have been negotiated for attendees of Adaptation Canada 2026. Book now to lock in this reduced rate of $429/night + taxes.

If you prefer to book over the phone, call 1-888-627-8559 and request the Group Code “ICL” or ICLEI Canada Adaptation Canada Conference Sep2026 Group block rate to reserve at the negotiated group rate.
Are there other budget-friendly hotels nearby?
Yes, we also have a block of rooms on reserve at the Radisson Blu. To receive the special group rate at the Radisson Blu, please make individual room reservations directly with the reservations department by calling 437-886-9667 or emailing frontdesk@radissonblutoronto.com. Please use the Group name “Adaptation Canada 2026” when making the reservations to ensure you receive the group rate.
All individual reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card.
What are my best travel options?
The Westin Harbour Castle can be easily reached through a variety of local, regional, and national transportation methods.
BY TRAIN: VIA Rail and GO Transit provide train service into Union Station—just a 10-minute walk or short streetcar ride from the Westin Harbour Castle.
BY BUS OR CAR: Intercity buses such as Megabus and FlixBus connect Toronto to nearby cities, and major highways provide easy access if you’re driving.
BY AIR: Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) offers direct flights from most major Canadian cities and international destinations. Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ), located downtown, offers flights from Canadian and some US destinations, and is located 2 km from the conference venue.
GETTING AROUND THE CITY: Toronto’s public transit system (TTC) includes subways, buses, and streetcars, making it easy to navigate the city. Taxis, ride-sharing apps, and bike-sharing services are also widely available.

Registration
Where can I register?

What is included with the registration fees?
The standard registration fee includes access to the conference’s opening reception, networking reception, three breakfasts, three lunches, sessions-on-the-move, side events, and coffee breaks throughout four days of conferencing.
Reduced rate fees come with the option to add on our closing happy hour at an additional cost of $75.00 + tax.
Please note that registration rates do not include applicable taxes. These will be added to your registration during checkout and will be listed as a separate line item on the payment receipt.
Are discounts available?

Will I receive a receipt?
You will receive a confirmation email (which includes a payment receipt) once you register. Please be sure to check your spam folder as the emails may have been sent there. If you have not received these emails within 24 hours, please email us at ac2026@iclei.org.
Can I register on the behalf of someone else?
You can fill out the registration form with the information of the person who will be attending. Note that the confirmation email (which includes the payment receipt) and all future conference communications will be sent to the email address entered in the registration form.
Are registrations transferable?
Registrations can be transferred any time before September 1, 2026 at 5 pm ET.
Are refunds available?
Cancellations before June 1, 2026 will receive a 50% refund. No refunds are available after June 1, 2026.

Where can I see the program?

Will there be options for virtual participation?

Will this be a bilingual event?
Yes, Adaptation Canada 2026 will be a bilingual event. Select content will be offered in both official languages. Additional information will be provided on the Program page.
Where can I find information on speakers?
Speakers will be announced in January 2026. Sign up to our email list below to receive the speaker updates or come back to the speaker page.
Can I speak at the event or pitch a session or speaker?
You can certainly apply to do so! Our Call for Speakers is now open. Visit the Call for Speakers page for more information and to submit a proposal.
Proposals will be accepted until 11:59 pm PT on Sunday, November 30, 2025.
