SPEAKING AT ADAPTATION CANADA 2026

Contribute your expertise to one of the 50+ sessions in our curated program and help to shape the whole-of-society approach needed to move forward.

WHY SUBMIT A PROPOSAL?

Speaking at Adaptation Canada offers the chance to share your work and insights and contribute to one of the 50+ conference sessions. In addition to participating in important conversations taking place from September 22 to 24, speaking at Adaptation Canada 2026 provides the opportunity to:

  • Promote and amplify your work;
  • Share important tools and resources;
  • Build connections across sectors;
  • Share research outcomes and findings;
  • Learn from other session contributors; and
  • Inspire others to action.

Additionally, speakers receive a reduced registration rate of $499 (a savings of 50% over early-bird fees) to attend the full conference!

HOW TO SUBMIT A PROPOSAL

Submitting a proposal to speak at Adaptation Canada is a simple and straightforward process.

Before preparing your application, we recommend that you review the full Call for Speakers Information Package to ensure that your final submission meets the evaluation criteria.

*UPDATED * All applications must be submitted by 11:59 pm PT on Sunday, November 30, 2025

* There is no limit on the number of submissions that may be made by a single person or organization. In all cases, please ensure that your submission is tailored to the specific session for which you are applying. 

Additional Sessions

Following the Call for Speakers submission period, additional sessions may be added to the program. Additional sessions will aim to fill content gaps and ensure a robust and well-rounded program.  If you have a session idea that fits within this description, please feel free to reach out to ac2026@iclei.org. As only a select number of submissions will be accepted, it is recommended that you still apply to speak at one of the currently listed concurrent sessions through the Call for Speakers to ensure that your work is included in the Adaptation Canada 2026 program.
